Look Into My Eyes

Lately, my poems seem to have titles of songs in common.  Even though I hadn't heard the songs, I feel it shows how universal love is, though this offering doesn't have anything to do with a Bryan Adams song. Thanks for visiting the halls of Knight Chills.

Look Into My Eyes
By Nomar Knight

Look into my eyes
See the pain of losing you
Sleeping in a garden
Waking in a desert
My thirst for you won't quench

Look into my eyes
See us holding hands
Barefoot on the beach
Watching how your hair
Swayed in the summer breeze

Look into my eyes
See them gleam with joy
Raindrops couldn't taint
Our magical moment
When I tasted your lips

Look into my eyes
See how they bleed
My broken heart melts
Nothing left to do
But wait for another chance

Look into my eyes
See the hurt heal
Wondrous memories remain
Lifting hope to the heavens
Delivering peace in our hearts

  1. Very nice poem with a slither of hope amid the lines... You have a wonderful way with words.

  2. Your poem is much better than the song!

    I love it!

  3. Your poems never fail to move me. I always walk away feeling so saddened. Emptiness and loss are sensations that linger. Love them all.
