Probing Deeper at this Knight: A Bernard Pivot Blogfest

Thank you to Nicole Ducleroir for hosting this event.

1.What is your favorite word?
I don't have a favorite word, but I do have a favorite phrase.  I use "Take Care" particularly when I'm closing a statement or letter, but only if I really mean it.  Otherwise, I'd use something else.

2.What is your least favorite word?

There are a number of words I'm not fond of but again, the phrase I can't stand is "Too Late!"  That one really makes my blood boil.

3.What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Real life with all its twists and horror inspires much of my work.

4.What turns you off?

Neglect!

5.What is your favorite curse word?

I try not to curse, but some days sh** just happens.

6.What sound or noise do you love?

My one year old granddaughter laughing.

7.What sound or noise do you hate?
The dreaded alarm clock.

8.What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Write now I'm a teacher, but I'd love to write full time.  Maybe some day my dream will come true.

9. What profession would you not like to do?

I would not like to bag and pick up roadkill.

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

Welcome back, son!

  3. Alarm clocks were my runner-up for worst sound. Such pain and loathing.

(little typo in 8 - "write now" for "right now" - got writing on the brain!)

  5. Care, life and laughter are my favourite ideas :)

  6. Alarm clock is starting to top the list of least favorite sounds. I happen to agree... Someone has to pick up roadkill. Ewwww.

  7. Nine and ten, I really liked. Nine is odd for me based on where I live. Things like that are often not dealt with like that. Usually, when they can't stand the smell anymore, someone will set it alight with the help of a tyre and kerosene oil. Yuck!

  8. i'm noticing a theme--a lot of people don't like the alarm clock!

i'd love to be a writer full time too. i recently started a photography biz, and as much as i love it, if i could keep pumping out novels and make money off of them, i'd convert. :)

  12. Ok, I got to this a day late, but I loved your answers. I think picking up roadkill would be awesome, lol. I could serve my family possum stew and have them wondering..."Mom wouldn't have really...naw...maybe I'm not hungry after all." How mean am I,lol?
