Sometimes I want to flash forward

To the part where we're together

To finally have you by my side

Our love will live forever

I know I'm a dreamer

Living someone else's life

Stuck in a world of loneliness

Like a ghost surrounded by strife

Pluck me out of this nightmare

Shower me with all your love

Kiss me a thousand times

Let's pray to the one above

Help me fight despair's grip

Brush away the fear that grows

Tear off the chains of the past

Eliminate all our woes

Your voice is like soothing waves

As if angels sing lullabies

Love's heavenly chorus rises

Until shattered by sad goodbyes

Must fight past the wonder

Will happiness be ours at last

Please Lord spring us forward

Let our union come fast

And if it should be decided

That time must have its way

Steal Your Kiss

Go to bed, thinking of you

Wishing we'd be gripped in bliss.

I'm a thief, I know it's true.

Next time, I'll steal a kiss.

Careful plans, took their toll

Anticipation our hidden pain.

My love is what you stole

Yet you claim, I drive you insane.

Separated by miles of sea

Your smile, I do miss.

Will our union make us free?

Know this, I must steal your kiss.

Rain or sunshine makes no matter.

My goal is to hold you soon.

Let the butterflies scoot & scatter.

My caress will make you swoon.

What will you do, darling love?

Will you moan or will you hiss?

When I swoop from high above

And steal your tender kiss.

For now, I must dream and hope

That our love remains in bliss.

Awesome Read by Poppet

Erra, by Poppet, is a book that I read expecting it to fulfill my craving for supernatural beings with a penchant for action.  I knew there’d be romance, and sure enough, there’s an interesting love triangle in the mix.  And since I’ve read other books by this truly gifted author, I expected her prose to flow on the page.  Well, not only did she mesmerize me with fantastic lines, she did an amazing job weaving the storyline so that readers could take more than just a story with them.  From her stunning female lead, Sarah, to the men who surrounded her, Dusty and Erra, this book shines while shedding a light on several mysteries of life. 

If you’re looking for a read where characters seem to literally jump off the page, then Poppet’s Erra is a must read!  From the sensual allure of Sarah and her incredible chemistry with Dusty, to the conflicts with Erra, sensuality and tension were the norm in this excellent book. 

I just loved how the author revealed Sarah’s emotions, and peeled back with slow clarity, like a blanket revealing a stunningly beautiful goddess, her vulnerabilities.  Erra and Dusty are far more than window dressing.  They provided a substance that rocked Sarah to the core, and along the way, opened the reader’s eyes to what Poppet hopes is a new understanding of this thing we call life. 

Don’t delay! Get the book and prepare to be amazed!

A High Octane Ride: Bipedal by Yvonne Bishop

What would you do if in the midst of a terrible accident, your victim changes your life forever?  What if everything you believed in is shattered and another world overwhelms you to the point, you’ll never be the same again?  That’s what Yvonne Bishop’s protagonist, Phoenix, is forced to contend with at such blazing speed that she has no time to escape her bizarre reality.

Bishop spins a tale of nonstop action, barely giving the reader a chance to breathe.  Her sexy scenes don’t disappoint.  If you like werewolves, don’t pass this one up. 

Bipedal is well written and edited, but I took issue with the fact there wasn’t time to pause.  I was forced to remain dirty a little longer, to starve a little longer, and to read with my eyes turning yellow (hint: bathroom break) for I did not want to put the book down  While I’m complaining, I may as well warn you that there’s some gore, but it flows so fast, it doesn’t deter from the reading.  My biggest gripe, I would have preferred chapters instead of one supersonic ride.  Of course, this book is short which adds another problem for me.  Yvonne Bishop’s talents need to be showcased in a longer work. 

Nevertheless, Bipedal is a good read at a great price.  Overall, this is a solid debut for the author.  I look forward to reading her next book.

Searched the corridors of loneliness

Aching to taste sweet tender kiss

Abandoned by time and place

Living through erratic pace

Whisper my name so I can hear

Unending love so far so near

While you're together who do you see

When you caress him is it really me

Misery fills my cup with tears

Drowning hope with all our fears

Precious moments can't be replaced

In memories they are embraced

Whisper my name so he can know

Our endless love must always flow

In moonstruck nights remember me

Twinkled delights will set you free

Burning Love Sizzles

Today just happens to be my birthday.  I woke up expecting this to be an ordinary day.  Imagine my surprise when my friend, Alex Morgan posted this review of my newest book, Burning Love on his blog, Book Junkie.

Nomar Knight is an accomplished and exceptional horror author so I was intrigued when he wrote an action thriller, with not a spooky specter in sight. Whether it’s a grisly tale or a battle between hit men, Knight tells a great story.

Foolish Schemes

Tonight ends my week of reflecting on Forbidden Love. I leave you with a cold message.  Keep in mind that not all relationships end like this.  Nevertheless, if you find yourself in this situation, I hope you do get to find happiness and if there's collateral damage, that's it's minimal and you can live with yourself.

Show me why we're in the land of nether

Doesn't matter how I feel

Though I know our love is real

I'm shut out from your days

And it's not a phase

Cut down from your nights

Relinquished all my rights

Don't ask me to feel things

I know what pain brings

When are you going to show

If your love for me grows

You know this loneliness inside

I'm supposed to take in stride

But it kills my heart to see

How you're never with me

Forbidden love is foolish I know

Just want my feelings to flow

Yet every time I think it'll shine

Something happens to show you're not mine

Don't you see you're missing in my heart

Can't stand how he's keeping us apart

Why can't I be there where you are

Only you can erase these scars

Tell me why there's something missing

In my mind we're always kissing

But when I open my eyes I see

Our love is not meant to be

For your choice dug the hole

Though my soul you stole

Nothing else can reverse

No One Belongs

Here's a poem inspired by one of my all-time favorite songs performed by the Bee Gees, Someone Belonging to Someone.    I like the song because I can be in a large crowd and still feel alone.  After reading this, have a listen.

I sit on the porch

The falling rain plays a lullaby of pain

Watching how pairs hug close

Umbrellas can’t hide their love

A cool breeze sprays a mist on my face

I’m grateful for no one can tell

I cry tears of loneliness

Darkness slowly comes

Laughing couples provide the sting

There’s someone belonging to someone

So what happens to me

Imprisoned in an unforgiving world

Misunderstood by all

I wonder who’s loving you

What is my life without you

Will I be in a lost love’s arms

When you belong to someone else

And I have no one

Belonging to me

Forced to believe in miracles

And the rain keeps falling
